About NFAR

The National Foundation for Autism Research is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, EIN 20-0538863 dedicated to the development of innovative treatment programs and options that improve the quality of life for children living with autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD.)

The San Diego Race for Autism raises awareness about one of this country’s biggest concerns today: autism. Once considered rare, autism now affects as many as one in 100 children in the United States.

Additionally, proceeds of the San Diego Race for Autism support much-needed programs and services for children with autism in our community. Since 2005, NFAR has awarded more than a half million dollars, funded over 23 community programs and 155 teacher’s grants, and benefited thousands of San Diego families with autism.
